Mauritz Stiller & Sv Bio

Swedish filmmaking rose to international prominence when Svenska Biografteatern moved from Kristianstad to Lidingö in 1911 with its two star directors, Victor Sjöström and Mauritz Stiller. Stiller was responsible for the early popularity of Greta Garbo, as well asbeing one of the worlds first vfx directors. Many of the films made at the Lidingö studio had a significant impact on the feature development of international filmmaking.
